Answer

In 2005-06, local authority and other public funding (not including Arts Council Funding) accounted for 8% of the income created by Arts Council England's (ACE) regularly funded theatre organisations, a slightly lower contribution than the regularly funded organisation (RFO) average of 12%. 33% of theatre focused RFO's profits were contributed by ACE subsidy and 50% by earned income, the highest percentage accounted for by earned income for any art-form other than literature.
